Summoner Wars*

*I became a playtester for both of these games after being really big fans. Not doing it to brag but to answer the question of, "but wait, doesn't James playtest for those games? Shill." Maybe, but I only agreed to do it because I really liked playing them! Were it not for Heroscape and Summoner Wars, I probably wouldn't even be playing board games or reading this site. I'd probably be playing Halo 3 or something.

Chaos in the Old World, War of the Ring, and Horus Heresy are all threatening to break into the top five, but the above games have all proven to have years of staying power. Well, all but TI, and TI very simply provides an experience that one cannot get elsewhere in boardgaming.
