Think Car Wars meets Death Race 2000.
Here are the details from the Z-Man site:
Road Kill Rally is a mayhem fueled car race for 3-6 players and lasts for 60-120 minutes. Road Kill Rally is designed by Daniel George. The box is crammed full of high quality pieces, from plastic cars, to road tiles, custom dice, player dash- boards, cards, pedestrian miniatures and more.
The object of the game is to score the most points. Points are awarded for crossing the finish line in a place, as well as gathering shoot tokens (by damaging opponents), and most importantly, from running or gunning down pedestrians - hey, no-one said the rally was nice!
Each turn players draw cards, set their speed, move, and engage in combat. Combat can be against other vehicles within range, or against pedestrians. Naturally, different sorts of pedestrians are worth different amounts of points, with seniors being worth the most (of course). Over the course of the game a player must make best use of their Rally cards and accessories, they may modify their car, but must also balance trying to come first in the race against scoring the most points off pedestrians and smashing up the other players. Players run down pedestrians,
shoot pedestrians, shoot other players and try to get past the finish line first and/or in one piece!
Road Kill Rally is now listed on the Z-Man Newsletter as scheduled for 2010, but "No Date" set.
