Cities have fallen, cities have stood, but outside of those protections, humans must face the creatures of darkness on their own terms. In the lawless countryside of Nightfall, the beast within can wreak havoc like never before! A stand-alone expansion to the competitive deck-building game Nightfall, Blood Country brings you a complete, all-new set of cards with special powers, and features new vampires, werewolves, hunters, and ghouls. Blood Country also introduces innovative abilities for your wounds, creating new effects beyond those just on the card!

I already own this. It looks awesome too. Lots more cards, obviously, and the effects are more interesting. I haven't played it yet but it looks great. Excited to get this to the table. I think at this point, much like Dominion, I don't need any more expansions. These deck builders usually take two expansions to get beefed up to the point where you feel like you have enough stuff.

I participated in the BGG contest but at the time was sick of card games so while the theme appealed I never bought it. If we manage to get together next week we should try that one for sure.

I'll bring Catacombs to satisfy your flicking addiction although I'm already thinking of trading it for Ascending Empires which I think might be a little more interesting flicking game.

I got this recently as well. It looks great. I'm not sure how the "specific wound" stuff is going to play out; I dig it in concept but it looks very tough to plan around.

I'll have a review of it in a couple of weeks, for sure. Nightfall has rocketed to the top of my deckbuilder chart over the past year, side-by-side with Puzzle Strike as my two favorites.

I can't wait to get this. The cards I've seen sound like they really mix it up. I love Nightfall. I do wish it played better with 2 people.

The specific wound effect is a hoot. We played it this weekend, and it adds a really cool randomizing factor, as well as adding yet another complication to the strategies you try to put together and then find out that you're actually killing your own guys every time you play that one chain card that you only bought because you needed something red that chained to green. Like there's one that makes you draw wound cards until you get a bite or burn. Draw three bleeds in a row and you're going to be grinding your teeth.

Plus there are some really neat cards, like a minion that gets discarded as soon as he chains, unless you can get his kicker. There's another one (called 'Wight Trash') that has 6 strength, so he hits like a freight train, but he gets discarded at the end of the combat phase after he comes in. So if you play him on your own turn, you never get to use him, but if you can chain him in on the turn right before yours, he's going to tear somebody a new poop chute.

    Anyway, it's pretty awesome.
