Created by Philippe Keyaerts (Small World), Evo is a game of conquest in a hostile environment. To win, you will have to acquire genes that allow your dinosaurs to evolve (survive enemy attacks, face various climates or even lay more eggs). But, be careful! Don’t spend too many mutation points in the auctions, because the winner of the game will be the player with the most of them at the end!

It's great art, but I have to admit a soft spot for the goofy style of the old edition. Good cartoon art in games is pretty rare, and Evo was one that worked.
I'd be interested to see if there are any rules changes.

Great game indeed...I'm glad I still have the 1st edition though since I really love the artwork in that version. Plus I've read the rules and they've made some changes so that I don't feel bad owning both.
I don't think EVO is better than Valley of the Mammoths, but I consider the games as pseudo companion pieces to one another. I'd like to see VotM be the next Descarte Editions reprint. However, if they fuck with the artwork in that game I'll be seriously pissed.

Awesome, awesome game. It's got Euro elements, but smashing face is really the aim of the game.
