I've been hearing some good things about this. It really came out of no where and took people by surprise. It looks fun.

I helped demo it Sunday at Gen Con. I ended up playing four or five of the short game, some three player some four. I think it does a great job of simulating some of the action in the show. The short game starts at seven Influence and the winner is the first to get to 12. Four phases: upkeep, intrique, market, and arena. The gladiators have three stats; speed, defense, and attack which defines their dice pool and their hit points. There is very little downtime, the worst phase being the arena if you aren't one of the participants but even then you may have a bet on the outcome.
