I am wondering what the MSRP for this will be. I saw one report that it was $59, but I hope that was a mistake. It looks like this really changes the game play, and makes being the Keeper even more interesting.

I'm very tempted by this even though I don't even own the first expansion (just two of the little mini ones). I want to pick up both now and that's probably a bad idea. In fact, just thinking about that I realize that my biggest complaint about board game journalism isn't the unprofessional reviews, it's the total lack of reviews on expansions. I hate that most reviewers never cover the expansions in any detail.

I've had Forbidden Alchemy (Big Box) since it came out, but haven't played any of it yet. I played through all the base scenarios and Season of the Witch with one group of people, but since then I keep playing with new players, so I go to scenarios that I am familiar with and that I know work well and are fun (usually Season of the Witch), rather than taking a risk and cracking open Forbidden Alchemy. I need to to get a couple of experienced players together to try Forbidden Alchemy.

MSRP is indeed 59.95, according to FFG http://www.fantasyflightgames.com/edge_minisite_sec.asp?eidm=136&esem=2.

Look at it this way: the 5 available print on demand scenarios will set you back $75, this one gives you more for less.

The new ideas sound great, too bad I'm getting rid of this game. Oh well, I know people who still collect it.

After just playing more of the base game this weekend I decided I was hungry for more. So I ordered the Forbidden Alchemy expansion (now that it is supposedly fixed).

This new expansion sounds great and I love that FFG is still supporting this game. However, I will not run out and buy the new expansion. I'm sorry, but despite my love for MoM, Fantasy Flight has to prove to me that their production errors are a thing of the past. I'll wait a month or two and see if things are all set with this expansion. If so, I'll gladly fork over my cash.

If FFG can 'right the ship' on Mom's production issues then the game could get lumped in with their greatest games when it's all said and done. Time will tell. I'm hoping that they knock this expansion out of the park and re-ignite interest in the game.

I'm not ready to invest another $60 in the game. I'm going to wait and see how much play we get out of whar we have.

I don't think interest in the game is lacking (except maybe on the Fort), else they wouldn't be releasing regular POD scenarios and a big box expansion 2 years down the line.

I suppose you're right as the game has been well supported by FFG. My wording should have been more along the lines "I hope they don't mess up this expansion because they could finally restore faith in the MoM product line."

Not to really get off topic, but out of curiosity can anyone suggest a POD expansion to get for Mansions? You can buy them for $15 on amazon, but I've been weary about getting burned on a bad scenario.

Must be the same people that buy all those Zombies!!! expansions.
