UK games company WarriorElite announces the release of the first expansion to War for Edadh: the beginning – The Art of Conflict.
The Art of Conflict – the first expansion to War for Edadh: the beginning – consists of 2 decks of 55 cards – one for each of the current warring factions in the game. The expansion introduces gamers to Conflict Cards that enable players to carry out specific battlefield actions such as capturing standards, attacking champions, breaking formations, and so on. The expansion also introduces secondary terrain cards which represent specific battlefield features such as ruins. Each deck also includes a set of Mastery Cards which allows for more players to join in the games.
The Art of Conflict is being supported online with rules for new multi-player variants of War for Edadh. The first of these – Honour? & Glory – pits several players against a single, common opponent and each player seeks to gain the most glory from battle.
The Art of Conflict is being shipped to distributors this week and will be in local gaming stores imminently.
“With The Art of Conflict players will now have all the elements to the game as laid out in The Art of the Warrior rulebook from the War for Edadh base set,” co-designer Nigel Pyne explains, “so gamers can play the full game as it was originally envisaged. The Art of Conflict definitely expands the gaming experience.”
