Aw shucks guys, a lot of that stuff isn't even painted all the way! But thanks so much, very encouraging.

I need to do the verdigris on the copper roofs, I've got to do some gold detailing to pop out some of the details, have to finish all of the walls and gates...

The Wight King and Wraith irked me (as well as the Tomb Banshee) because they are older figures and they have those old style bases where they have texture AND part of the model on them. So to put the Wight King on a round base, I'd have to make him a foot. Ugh. So I just did those all square.

It's awesome, man. It's really a lot of pieces and it covers a big area if you do it right. I just added the Citadel Wood and the two monoliths to that board, it's 4x4, and it felt like there was plenty. You can also stick this stuff up on a hill or something too. It's about $68-$70 most places, which is really a good value for what you get in it.

Painting (at least like what I did) is pretty simple, I just followed the vague guidelines on the box. Assembly took about 45 minutes.

For whatever reason it never clicked to me that the set was the Garden from Vermintide. Those Skull double gates are what sold me.

Yeah, it's TWO of the old Garden of Morr sets...which were used to model that area in Vermintide, I guess. GW decided to pile two sets of sprues in one box and sell it at LESS than the price of two of the old kits...which is unusual! Kind of a "reverse Land Raider" thing.

It's gonna be good...I really wish they had just rolled the skirmish rules into it though. We've been skirmishing more than playing full games. We've played that one with the treasures like 7 or 8 times.

Are you getting the Path of Glory book? It looks cool if you want to run a long term campaign.

As of now, I'm passing on Path to Glory. It sits in a spot we're not looking to be gaming. Path to Glory seems to be many campaign games involving increasing larger numbers of models.

We prefer Skirmish and Hinterlands. Low model count games. Or just grabbing a lot of models and playing a one-off AoS battleplan proper.

I bought the Mage Knight Artifacts 2 kit to use as the treasure tokens. They come prepainted, match our table well, and are nigh indestructible. Toss em in the box!

EDIT: they also serve WHQ as dungeon dressing and objective tokens.

Hard to believe almost half of GW's sales come from their physical stores...

When the heck is Shadespire going to drop? This release seems to have flown against GW's SOP of recent years. Usually when a game is mentioned it's released that weekend...

They announced that the first major tournament for it would be the LVO 2018 (end of January). Otherwise, they have been pretty quiet.

Pretty neat cover. Looks like a stand alone title as well and not part of any SE story. I'm warming up to these Overlord guys more and more. I think it's time I bought a model for Silver Tower to go along with the card I made.

Sam from the Dicetower did an interview with the designers and they said they're going to be demoing it at Gen Con and some other convention just afterwards. You'd have thought that would mean it's almost ready for release. I seem to dimly remember an original release date of the end of 2017 though, but I could well be remembering that wrong.

No you're not wrong. I recall it was supposed to be this fall. I wonder if there were some design setbacks. Possible since they are designing this as a tourney game. You don't want the player base playing it for a week and then finding out its not up to snuff after all the hullabaloo regarding their target design being tight.

Also, it seemed like their board games where coming out at a quick clip...but that's slowed down. Besides Shadespire, I'm not sure what the next board game release will be from GW.

I attribute this to the new 40K edition though. I'm sure they wanted all hype and sales on that.

EDIT: not complaining here...I don't need more board games to buy...just an observation.
