2014 - Best Year In Quite Awhile

I like werewolf, but I can't play it anymore. In my game groups, I apparently have garnered a reputation of being silver tongued and devious. I'm pretty good at it so it seems.

So games like these, be it Battlestar Galactica or Werewolf, I'm usually the first one either lynched or thrown in the brig, and usually without even having to sleep for the night.

Pssst...wanna buy a bridge?

I not only have the same reputation of being a smooth talker, I also have a reputation of being reckless. This is pretty intentional, because I've played The Resistance with my group over 100 times and if you don't alter your play style every game for that game it gets boring. So since they can't peg me as having "a" play style, or even always making logical moves (because they're always thinking logically) I'm reckless, I'm ok with it, I still have fun, and they know I play this way when I'm on the good team so they'd better consider the fact that I'm good or they'll lose.

I fucking hate Werewolf. That is eternal.

To be clear, One Night Ultimate Werewolf is not even close to the same game Werewolf is. I hate Werewolf as well.

Only game on the list I've played was One Night Werewolf, which didn't do a lot for me.

Interested in Impulse, Greenland Saga, Pax Renaissance, and Fire in the Lake.

Not totally convinced its better than 2012, but possibly better than 2013.

I want the X-files board game which is due out soon.

You may have to move Space Cadets: Away Missions to the 2015 list.

Dark Moon got pushed to early 2015, which is a bummer because BSG Express is pretty decent and Dark Moon supposedly improves upon it. I wonder if I'll still care about Dark Moon after Dead of Winter arrives.

Impulse is neat. I want to like it (I love Glory to Rome) but it'll take a few more plays before I'll be able to make a decision about it.

I'm really interested in Level 7 Invasion, but not enough to preorder it. Waiting on some reviews or something to give me a better feel for how it plays.

So far for 2014 this is what I am looking forward to:

Fief: France 1429 - My second kickstarter game ordered, and one that I should be seeing this year

Moongha Invaders: Mad Scientists and Atomic Monsters Attack the Earth! -- The first kickstarter game I ordered....in 2012. I hope to GOD I see it this year.

Heroes of Normandie - even though it looks like it might not be very meaty, it does look like a hot to play.

Xia: Legends of a Drift System - looks to have some interesting SciFi potential.

Aannnnd..that is about it so far. That is kind of sad, only 3 games and the first 2 or in essence reprints.

Looks like 2014 will be a year of building up my OOP and old D&D collection. Since so far, I have not much to buy new.

@Chapel,

You've got me beat. I've only got ONE 2014 game on my list. I hope it doesn't suck. Last year I was psyched for Eldritch Horror and it was a huge disappointment. Fortunately Firefly made up for the suckage of EH.
