Apparently Fantasy Flight are going to co-publish the new version.

FFG Co Publish

Sounds like good news, but surely a lifestyle game now - at least to get all of its potential out of it.

What does this mean?

i have a good buddy backing the KS campaign. Is this nothing more than FFG/Asmodee distributing it later?

Looks like FFG are snapping up some other sci-fi adventuring type games post GW.

Yeah, this sets a really, really weird precedent...

I think this is the likely reason. It's kind of what they did with Ares and Wings of Glory/War as well as the Dust Tactics/Warfare stuff.

If FFG starts putting out very familiar looking games in the Mutant Chronicles universe in a couple of years we'll know.

FFG probably just looking for a way to unload a shipping container's worth of these ...

Yeah...so...if Asmodee is now behind this....why continue the KS?

Mantic gets a ton of grief for still using KS even though they're now established. Asmodee is leagues beyond Mantic.

Exactly. They should refund every backer now that it has Asmodee's money behind it.

Although this Kickstarter may be a pretty good deal compared to whatever retail price Asmodee decides to try and enforce?

It makes no sense to pull the brakes on a Kickstarter already underway.

I'm really glad I didn't get on board with that one.

I thought the KS was really expensive for what the game provides. FFG's piecemeal expansion approach might more palatable and as malign as I feel that approach to be it could make Siege of the Citadel much cheaper through discounters like Miniature Market or CoolStuff Inc.

It also seems like this competes with the new Doom edition they recently announced?
