Metro 2033?

Never heard of it, but saw it on the shelf at the LGS today. Looks like some post-apoc setting where survivors are trying to set up civilization underground.

Has anyone played it?

I like the concept of Metro 2033, but looking at a picture of the board, I lost interest. The map looks drab and impractical. Yes, it looks like a subway map, but it doesn't appear to have sufficient space for actual gameplay, and the faded colors of the various subway lines might cause difficulties during a game. I suspect the game designer thought up the whole game during a boring subway commute, and used an actual subway map for his prototype. At some point during development, he needed to make that prototype map into something more visually interesting and also useful for his game.

It's based on the video game, which is based on a book.

I loved the video games but the board game BuhLooooows.

Dull, boring. Played one time so take that for what it's worth, but it's like a cross between Frag, El Grande, and Conwuest of Nerath.
