Is HumbleBundle like Tanga for video games, or does it do other products as well?

S.

If Tanga was like HumbleBundle I would be making new posts for them as well. HumbleBundle, as a model, should not work. They get some indie devs to agree to sell their games, in a bundle, for however much a person wants to pay. If you want to pay $0.00, you can. You are just a dick. BECAUSE, you can tune some sliders to set how much of your money goes to the devs (divided equally or thereabouts), how much goes to charity (EFF, Child's Play, and new-to-me Watsi), and how much the Humble folks get for hosting and what not. If you go over a dollar, you get Steam Keys, and not just a link to the download of the game. If you go over the current average (now $4.59), you get bonus games (currently FEZ and FTL). They add another game or more on Wednesday AM.

Oh, and the games are DRM free. And cross-platform. And available on BitTorrent. And you get soundtracks too. And sometimes even source code!

They raise millions of dollars for developers of indie games. And millions for charity.

...is that like Tanga for video games?

So, there's a new package of games (I'll conclude video only from your description) up for sale each day or each week or something?

Every fortnight normally, although sometimes deals run longer or there are gaps. And while it's mainly games, it isn't always: the one prior to this was for a bunch of comedy videos.

Can you think of an activity, commonly undertaken in front of a computer, which necessitates first searching for a word that contains two B's and two O's?

Whelp, they've added LIMBO and BASTION now too . Along with ROCKETBIRDS and A VIRUS NAMED TOM. For anything over $4.61. ...which you can donate completely to charity if you want.

DRM-free, with soundtracks, with Steam Keys, PC/Mac/Linux for $4.61, all of which you can give to charity:
FEZ
FTL
LIMBO
BASTION
MARK OF THE NINJA
TRINE 2
BRUTAL LEGEND
ROCKETBIRDS
A VIRUS NAMED TOM
EETS MUNCHIES (beta)

I'm tempted just for the non-Steam executables for backup purposes.

Just broke down and got it. $5 for all that jazz, even just a couple things I already wanted to play, totally worth it!

Matt Fantastic on Steam if anyone wants to play any of those jams and they are multiplayer.

And now in the weekly sale you can get all the X games (like Elite, but better) for a pittance.

You wonder why anyone buys consoles. A cheap PC and a Humble Bundle account should keep you in gaming nirvana for years.

Sid Meier's Humble Bundlepalooza. Once again confirms my thesis that PC/Mac games should not purchased until Humble Bundle makes them free, or basically so.

www.humblebundle.com/

CIV III, CIV IV, ACE PATROL, RAILROADS and CIV V with a pile of DLC if you pay more than $4.85 (and climbing). You get Brave New World DLC for $15 or more, all of which can go to charity. Amazing.
