Live Trapped / Escape Puzzle type games

While I was in Budapest last week, my wife and another couple did one of these live action escape puzzle games. For $60, a team of 2-5 players will be locked in a room and need to solve puzzles to escape from a room. The escape we did was made up of 3 rooms and had about 20 different puzzles to solve. Puzzles can be all sorts from math, to logic, to riddles, to use of colors, mirrors, weights, magnets, lights, etc. Each team will have about 1 hour to solve the puzzle and a dungeon master will monitor your progress by a video screen and you can call out for a clue if you become stuck. Since it was first puzzle of this type it took us the whole 1 hour and we needed many clues from the monitor.

I think these type puzzle / escape games will be popping up in cities around the world. If you're in a city with this type of Escape game and you have 2-5 people and have hour to spare, I would highly recommend trying this out. You'll probably have to make reservations ahead of time.

I think this kind of game popped in China last year. I saw & played a few months ago in one of our malls here in Jakarta.

Yes Hostel 1 and 2 and I was a little nervous about being locked into a room in former Nazi and Communist Budapest. I showed up 1 hour early and trusted trip advisory website. Actual they promised I would get to keep 1 kidney if I invited my friends to come to Trapped.

As these places start popping up the quality of place and puzzles may fall so I would use Trip advisor or another review site to make sure it's a quality game.

You'd better be damned lucky you look like Tony Little. Some Gazelle commercial translated poorly to Romani or something just saved your life.
