Read this:

Most of the original cast of 1979 film Alien will reprise their roles in pre-order DLC missions for Sega’s Alien: Isolation. According to the announcement by the publisher, Sigourney Weaver will play Ellen Ripley in DLC missions “Crew Expendable” and “Last Survivor.” She will be joined by Tom Skerritt as Dallas, Veronica Cartwright as Lambert, Harry Dean Stanton as Brett, and Yaphet Kotto as Parker. Ian Holm’s murderous robot will be played by another voice actor. Both segments will feature missions based on scenes from the movie. The first mission will even allow players to take the supporting character roles. Maybe you’ll do better as Dallas in the air vents?

O dear, I need to change my underpants.

Niiiice.

I'd like to take a moment to register how unexpectedly great the multiplayer was in the 2010 AvP game. The single player campaigns were abysmal, however.

Yes...but...it's Gamestop exclusive DLC. That's very, very unfortunate. That should be in every copy of the game because it does sound pretty awesome.

I'll still probably just do rent on it. AAA games like that aren't worth owning IMO.

Just wait until GameStop starts making good on their future plans to ruin video games even more:

I can't wait for this. I'm a HUGE Alien fan and I pre-ordered this a little over a month ago. Admittedly I even found some enjoyment in Colonial Marines. This is going to be fabulous.

There you go with the kiss of death again.

That's what you said about Colonial Marines and look at the clusterfuck that turned out to be.

Oh come one, COlonial Marines wasn't THAT bad. ALthough, I also loved Promethius. Except for when the one guy came back as a zombie when they got back to the ship. That was fucking stupid.

Apart from the plethora of bugs, aliens dancing, shooting through doors etc etc

It was a bit of a pile of shite, to be fair.

The stuff they showed at E3 in the playable demos looked really good.

It still has this horror game problem where it can involve a ton of dying and retrying.

Interestingly enough, I never experienced the bugs I've read so much about. It wasn't a GOOD game per se, but I didn't think it was TERRIBLE either.

Very interested because of the preorder DLC. Hard to imagine that stays a preorder exclusive, though--not that I want it to.

Colonial Marines is probably the worst game i've ever played. And I'm a huge Aliens fan and a huge FPS fan. I paid full price.

THe 'problem' of horror games of dying and restarting? That's the whole point. It's only actually scary if you can die. You just gotta keep trying. Shooters on hard difficulties are also dying and restarting but you don't get scared in those. I feel it every time Leon Kennedy or Issac Clarke dies. I feel it.

The Evil Within is probably tied with Alien: Isolation for most anticipated title for me. I cannot wait.

I'm very excited for this. One of my top 10 most anticipated games for rest of the year, right after Bayo 2, Captain Toad, Tales of Xillia 2, Tales of Hearts R, Danganronpa 2 & Theatrhythm Curtain Call.

I believe only the Last Survivor DLC is exclusive to Gamestop. You should be able to get the Crew Expendable DLC from any retailer, though only if you pre-order.

This game will live and die by the Alien's AI. I predict that it'll be mostly shit except for a few scripted events where the Alien will suddenly teleport where it needs to be for story purposes.

Is there any modern game that's managed to pull off decent AI? I haven't done much stealth FPS gaming since Thief/Thief 2, and while their AI was considered good, it was easy to exploit and often not all that bright.
