If the capital ships are to scale with each other, then a star destroyer would be hella big compared to the rebel transports, with a price tag to match. I do have the Lego star destroyer (the two foot long one), I think it might be to scale actually.

Someone on BGG figured it out. Using the scale of the Rebel Transport and the Tantive IV, a Star Destroyer would actually be somewhere around 17 feet.

Yeah but still, there's no way FFG doesn't introduce a star destroyer. It's probably the most iconic ship in the entire series, I'd argue more so than even the X-Wing or the Falcon.

Calling it now, scale be damned, they'll make the biggest piece of plastic they can release with an MSRP of $99.99

I happened to be in Roseville yesterday and stopped into the FFG event center. I have to say that is the nicest gamestore I have been in. Lots of space, clean, did not smell of gamer. although $7 for a pint of beer seemed steep.

They had the Tantive IV and all the wave 4 and the rebel aces on dispaly. The Tantive IV is a nice looking ship, looked about 1/2 again the size of the transport.

I picked up a Transport because I found one on sale. I have to say that, if you want a different way to play the game, it's excellent. The missions are cool and you can play a 3 mission campaign instead of just dogfighting.

OTOH, if you're buying it because you really enjoy the dogfighting of X-Wing, the transport is really not worth it because you'll never be able to use it in regular games and it's not really worth it for Epic point games, either, because it doesn't really change enough for its cost, IMO. The new X-Wing pilots aren't going to replace Biggs or Wedge anytime soon and almost all the cards included are restricted to the transport itself. The one real upside is the 4 new droids (R2, R4, etc.) that are included, because a couple of those are really interesting.

I don't regret buying it because I like the missions and I think they did a slick job representing big ship movement and I like the potential that holds for the game (Sadly, Star Destroyers are pretty much out of the question at any reasonable price point.) But if you're buying it to enhance your current fleet, I don't think it's what you're looking for.

They look like little dildoes meant to represent a very old man's penis. Not sure I want an ancient sex toy on my table, ruining an otherwise awesome scene.
