My new game: Maziacs the Boardgame

Just wanted to let everyone know that I've posted my new free solo/coop print and play game online.

It's Maziacs the Boardgame and it's based on Maziacs, a classic ZX Spectrum game from the early 80's programmed by Don Priestley who was kind enough to let me use the same name.

It's kind of a dungeon crawl game but much simpler. Tiles are used to create a random maze and beads to mark tiles as belonging to the path towards the treasure (The correct path is generated when the player finds prisoners that can reveal part of it to the player). There's only one kind of monster, the Maziac, which can be killed safely with a sword, but you can only hold one and it's only for one use. You can find more swords (and other useful stuff) on the maze though.

The game is simple enough and plays fast. It's also challenging and pretty random, but I've tried to adjust the randomness so for example, the chance of a new Maziac appearing is based on the number of them already on the board and how far away from the entry you are.

I've created a BGG page for the game with a link to the file with all the components and rules: www.boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/73255/maziacs-the-boardgame
