I like the artwork and the period too. When LA Noire (videogame) came out, I bought it. Unfortunately as a game it kind of sucked.

Dead State, which I've been watching develop for quite awhile now:

...and Cult: Awakening of the Old Ones, a completely insane design by one guy.

Oh, and also, Haunts:

...which looks like a fun little tactical RPG for the iPad.

Shellhead wrote: I'm almost tempted to back that new Ace Detective game from Launius. It looks like a noir/pulp detective combination of Once Upon a Time and Android. I love that artwork from Black Mask magazine, and the mechanics look decent.
I love Android, but I strongly question whether the decision to mimic Android's most revilved game mechanic - that of 'framing' suspects by placing clues on them - is a wise move. It's that mechanic along that's responsible for Android languishing in bargain bins to this very day.
I really, really hope that someone revisits the Android design at some point, but (from what little info I gathered), Ace Detective seems to be the worst design decisions of Android minus a lot of the backstory and plot plus a lot of drawing and rolling ala Arkham Horror. Despite the brilliant artwork and theme, I'll pass.
