I'm actually more interested in the other side of the numbers. In only four months, people spent over ten million dollars on games from Kickstarter alone.

And from the general sound of things, it's the same 200 people.

Coup - Reformation drew in close to 8,000 backers. A simple card game drawing in 8,000 people is a bit...crazy.

I started another thread about this "crash" discussion because I thought it was really interesting.

Are we headed for a board game crash?

Neat concept , but needed an English speaker to review the script and write-up.

Great concept, but if each table weighs only 5 pounds, they're made of something like EPS foam. They'd have to be.

to be fair, the weight is in Kg, so more like 10 lbs. I question whether their cardboard 'stool' would hold up.

I'm backing the Dungeon Crawl Classics: Chained Coffin module. It comes with a sort of over the top gimmick of a rotating puzzle thing which they're doing a fancy version of (and a non-fancy version of), I'm really into DCC, it's the only fantasy RPG I want to play right now, and Goodman Games has been working on a Mutant Futuresque spinoff called Mutant Crawl Classics, so I want to support them and them getting funding this way seems like it could have pretty high reward potential. I don't really need to back this since I don't run games (or even bring my own dice half the time, oof), I just like what they do and want to see them grow.

I backed this sweet sous-vide cooking implement.

I have been looking at immersion units for a while, and this one hits all the right spots for me. It's their second edition, so a lot of the normal KS bullshit should be worked out. (To their credit, their first one went extremely well).
