I know, I know, but I WANT it. It's...ummm...research for a discount dive, right?

I always feel a little guilty preordering GMT games from Miniature Market or another online store, but the GMT shipping is just nuts. At least they're more up front about it now. It used to be that they didn't say anything and you just got the news when you got charged, and found out it was twenty bucks higher than you thought it'd be.

Which reminds me, I should get my order in for Andean Abyss soon.

LOL. GMT still gets my money and business and I'm still paying my share for exorbitant shipping. I have Talon 1000 and the Talon Replacement Counter ship sheets that have all charged and are awaiting shipment from GMT. Come to think of it, I really don't know why I ordered the Talon Replacement Counter sheets since I have the second edition? I think two years ago Sagrilarus said that you should order these so I did. I owned Talon, traded it, and bought it again.

M.U.L.E the board game finally down to 14.00 at MM on the black Friday sale. That's throwing money at nostalgia price, isn't it?

Yeah, a coworker and I got all excited talking about it, and he bought a copy (before I did, thank God). It did scratch the nostalgia itch a little, but entertainment-wise you'd be much better off hunting up an Atari 800 emulator and the disk image of the computer game itself. However, if I ever see a copy at Origins or GenCon for $15 on a bargain bin table, I'll probably buy it.

The MULE song would make a great ringtone.

I received my Big Trouble in Little China game today. It is very nice. The box is rough, but all contents are great. I'm looking forward to trying it out.

As previously discussed up thread or in another thread, the big MMP sale has begun.

I am pleased to announce that I resisted my desire to order both the Operation Mercury and Greatest Day installments of the GTS series. My love of Devil's Cauldron is known. Having these follow games at half price, even if half price is still expensive, is a great opportunity. But alas, spending all that dough on myself just before Christmas and the inevitable money mad wife's holiday shopping spree looming, I just couldn't do it.

This is not to say I'm made of stone. I did order Angola and Warrior's of God which are so cheap I'd be losing money NOT to order them.

You hear that Sag and Doc Mabuse?? With these games in my posssession how can you not come to the next Trashfest?

Really wanted to make the trip this year. I'm in selling-my-old-house hell right now.

I’d sometimes wondered how much of a factor the artwork had in my enjoyment of Friday. I picked up The Lost Expedition and felt the same question coming up. It’s such a basic resource puzzle, but I can’t help forming narratives with this art (and the rough thematic trade-offs on the cards). There’s something comfortably immersive but also unapologetically abstract in this juxtaposition of icon management & claire ligne. I dig it. It feels like I’m constructing captions with the icon trade-offs.

Not a game, but the wife picked out a game Viking neoprene game mat/table topper for the dining table for Christmas. In black, off course. Can't wait to not struggle picking up flipping cards.
