Storm of Souls is crazy. I have to play a lot slower to tease out all the options. No more "Play Al" for me--I need to take my time. Got the Promo Cards too and that King Rat is a fucking BOMB.

But the player-matching on TtR HD sucks muddy bay water. It uses two systems, which is confusing, and it's live-only. I much prefer just to play the AI in the HD version.

No AI or async, real time or pass & play only. Looks great and is free though. At least four characters are.

Arkham City Lockdown is a dollar...well worth it.

There's an AI. Go under Training, select your character, hit ready, then pick the AI character. They're on the row underneath the training dummies.

I missed them too the first time.

Why is it that Elder Sign was really fiddly and not quite as awesome as I had hoped, but the Omens version for iOS is quite easily one of the best games I've ever played, board, video, or otherwise?

It sucks that it only has 2 stock campaigns but the Call of Cthulhu 2.99 expansion is easily one of the best 2.99 expansions I've ever bought. I'll buy expansions FOREVER.

I finally figured out what ES really is: Arkham Horror without all the extraneous bullshit that makes it too bloody long to get to the table often.

The Cthulhu campaign for omens is great. The idea to split up the game into two parts that each play in a slightly different way is just what the game needed. As it was I often found that the game dragged on for too long and I often lost interest before finishing a game.

Anybody else having trouble getting online to play Ascension? I thought it was a server problem on their end, but after 3 or 4 days, I think it might be my iPad. Should I just delete the app and re-download it?
