Seconded. I really enjoyed the bits of story with him early this season when he led the charge in looking for Sophia.

Also smart: clips at the beginning showing them just driving around and manually taking down roaming walkers. Kill em on your terms and it's fewer to face later!

Not to sound like a smart-ass, but I assume it is because they had to make a show out of it, pure and simple. If they had turned too quickly there would have been more drama inside the bar and you would not have had the tension with the remaining Philly people outside.Green Lantern wrote: Help me puzzle something out. With Shane's demise fresh on the mind a thought struck me. He became a walker pretty fast, right? So what was up with the guys from the bar? I remember Rick and company hanging around in the bar for a good bit and the dead never rose. So why did they not become zombies but Shane did?

But the one thing I cant' beleive or understand - searching in the woods in the dark. Come on. You are not going to find anything (well, not supposed to) except death on shambling legs.
Honestly, they would have called off the search when the sun went down. Shane and Rick look with no light. The other two finally turn on a flashlight but really, in the woods, what's it going to do?
Frustrating but ok I guess.

If they hadn't searched at night we wouldn't have gotten that right out of a comic frame image of Rick and Shane silhouetted in the field with that bigger than life full moon in the sky. It was a great shot.ZMan wrote: Overall nice episode. About time they decide to reinforce their homestead.

They were both shot in the head (as was Dale). Zombies need intact brains.

Did Rick get them both in the head? Now it makes sense. Thanks Octavian!
