Look, We're all just come to expect spam fom Barnes. If you're going to dance with the little naked devil, you're you've got a chasity belt. I'm not botthered by the the spam as much as his constant personal solicitations and naked photos of himself. You'd think he would at least take off the clown makeup.

Yeah, sorry about that...my account got phished a couple of months ago, and it appears to have happened again. It's very strange, I never go to any of those questionable "Steve Avery"-caliber sites since that would be bad news on a work-issued, monitored laptop. I think I might have picked something up on Soulseek or Bit Torrent. Updated antivirus finds nothing.

I'll probably have to just cancel the account, which stinks since I've had it for a long time.

I wondered if something got hacked around here or at BGG as I got hit from your account, LJ####'s, and one other mostly lurker FATtie whose name escapes me now at about the same time with similar spam a few months back. At first I thought it came from ACTS as I know the other two are ACTS users but I didn't think you were registered there.

Yea, sorry for not alerting you; t'was a busy spell at work and it slipped my mind. It was same account as you use for ACTS (it triggered my Outlook rules to autofile it with my PBEM traffic)--it was a brief burst of 3 or 4 that got clean through the office firewall, which says that they were pretty professional in the whole thing (my company locks the firewall down so tight [or badly] that I lose actual business mail from time to time) over the course of 2 weeks and then stopped.

Yes, Schweig, my passwords are different. I usually use "123" for all of my passwords, but I went extra safe there and made it "1234".

I got a virus recently that wasn't recognised by any virus checkers. I had a suspision I had picked something up because my internet e-mail was loading slower than normal. Found it with HijackThis. Getting rid of it was a pain, required diagnostic startup of Windows. I think there are now tons of unrecognised kit built viruses kicking around. MalwareBytes Anti-Malware is a good secondary virus checker. Hope this helps.
