I think this is the third time I have posted this. Once in the taunting thread, once in the necro'd thread from last year, and now here. I am still trying to figure out what the small black box of cards is. I asked a Japanese friend to translate them, and he huffily replied that it was Chinese and implied that I had soiled his honor. They are textured on the back, and the front contains contemporary, almost cartoonish asian art with a few english words and numbers. I think they're called "Flowers of YongJang" or something similar. The Netrunner deck boxes fit the game perfectly, in terms of their visuals. I was ready to go buy Tichu, so I'm glad Sticheln arrived. A nice and quirky haul.

They're Hanafuda cards, of Korean origin. I didn't include rules for any games to play with them because I am SATAN!

Better call Frank Branham!

Hanafuda is usually Japanese, I didn't realize there were Korean ones.

I think maybe the Korean version is called Go Stop! or something. Same game though.

My Secret Satan hasn't arrived yet. But Sandi got a box at work. Satan has his work cut out for him.

You can find some info for Hanafuda at Pagat.com (which is a great resource for card games in general). The only game I recall playing with a set of Hanafuda is Koi Koi .

And now back to my lurking.
