Anyone still play Barbarian Prince? I'm a fan. I know the game is old, the d6 mechanics are dated, and you have to reference a multitude of charts, but, it's a classic.

Even though this is a solitaire game, my son and I often play this one together--pondering the choices. Awhile ago I handcrafted an excellent redesign of it, creating a mounted game board, wooden chits using scrabble pieces, and a game box. You could say that I own a "deluxe version." The only thing that I'm missing is a barbarian/conan miniature; I currently use a laminated stand-up attached to a binder-clip. One day, I'll find a 15mm miniature to paint to represent the prince.

Somehow, it's satisfying--it's fun to see how your poor barbarian prince ends up dying--and, he always dies, always. There are so many horrible ways to die in this game. The trick is to see just how far you can go until you die.

Have you seen the ios game Road of Kings? It's very close to Barbarian Prince.

Copplestone hands down makes the best 15 mm barbarians.

I considered doing a PnP version of this for Secret Satan. printed off two copies of the A3 map but didn't get around to doing the rest.

While I agree with DBD about Copplestone, Splinterd Light has some interesting figures that might work as well

I can't find it on the App Store. Did it disappear in the US?
