Warhammer Quest Card Game expansions

Did anyone hear anything about this? Was there any kind of promotion? I just randomly checked the site and it was the latest news item and I don't see them listed with retailer sites. They're priced kind of like the old print-on-demand expansions for Death Angel, so I wonder if that's the case here, too.

Really would rather have a new quest/monsters...but I like those characters so it's good.

I did not see these, thanks for the heads up! I will take any expansions for WHQ: Adventure Card Game I can get.

First time they mention it in the news. They probably forgot to, as their first sentence states "Fantasy Flight Games is proud to announce the upcoming release of two new hero packs for Warhammer Quest: The Adventure Card Game!" and then they mention that they're already available "The Witch Hunter Expansion Pack and Troll Slayer Expansion Pack are available now. Pick up your copies today!".

Probably a little of both. IIRC when the Death Angle Print on Demand expansions came out, they were only available direct at first, then eventually were released into general distribution.

Either way, its a good low cost way to add content .

Glad to see any sort of life pumped into this excellent game. I'll be ordering both of these asap.

However, this reeks of them trying to play catch up with the surprising demand and popularity of the game. I bet after they were selling through their first few print runs they got working on expansion stuff immediately. New quests and campaigns probably take way longer to play-test so they just gave us these morsels in the meantime. I would bet anything that by the end of the year they'll announce a new box with a new campaign and more stuff.

I get the impression that this game was a bigger success than FFG initially expected, hence these small expansions. If they do well more will probably follow.

I got an Amazon gift card the weekend, so I picked up the base game, then mosied over to FFG's site and ordered these expansions too. I'm looking forward to this, it looks like it'll have the good points of Death Angel while being just a little looser.
