Asshole.

Says the guy who not only playtested the game but has also achieved fame and glory by being mentioned in the rulebook!

I didn't anticipate the HUGE bound rulebook with I dunno, 50 or so dungeon layouts in it. It's kind of like the BATTLELORE rulebook except it isn't filled with a million examples of how to roll dice or draw cards.

We've been doing a work campaign here... I intend to do a rant (with pictures) about it. Last night's notes were funny though. You start off weaker than normal Descent, and you have to relearn to be a newbie. Notes include Steelhorns Dies. Andira Dies. Nanook Dies. (words) Steelhorns dies again. Bogran dies. Bogran dies again. Steelhorns dies again. Bogran dies yet again. (words) Bogran dies. Glad he has only 2 Conquest points.

That was only in 2nd and 3rd levels of a dungeon. Our Overlord takes great glee in making us dead.

I thought Mr. Petersen was a nicer boss than that. You guys should start a union.

Remember Steelhorns!

I hate Nanok of the Blade with all my heart when i'm the overlord. He's great when i'm not. When I play the Overlord i'll be looking forward to crushing him.

I'll probably take delight in it too.

Playtesting <> (thats not equals) fun.
I want to play with kickass bits, not slips of paper!

Walked into my FLGS on Wednesday afternoon (3/19) to get some Horrorclix boosters -- and there was Road to Legend. Confronted with the game right there in my hands, I had to walk out with it, even paying the full $50 retail. Now I just need to round up the usual group of victims -- err, heroes.

Question for Thaad: will there ever be rules to create our own characters (assuming someone hasn't already written such rules and I just haven't stumbled across them)?

The 'Make your Own Hero' rules have always been an out of House thing that I know of... I expect the old character method would work the same, except you would follow the skill selection for RtL (draw 3, pick 1). Ofc, I am talking out of my ass on this one. (having never made a custom character anywhere).

How does that work exactly? The playtesting that is. Do they basicly send you a mock up of the game after you have signed a non-disclosure agreement or something?

Inquiring minds want to know.

You sign a NDA, then you get access to a secret website where there are a bunch of PDFs. Then you sneak into work real early and start printing on company money.

'Kay, then what? Do you have a deadline? Are certain goals expected to met?

Seriously, I'm intrigued.
