My money's on the Dune remake, but I hope it's a totally awesomed-up Dungeonquest!

Watch it be an ARKHAM HORROR expansion. Or an expansion to one of its expansions.

Or maybe they're going to release an empty box. You have to buy expansions to get the pieces of the game to put in it.

DUNGEONQUEST is a big likelihood since we have tentative confirmation of it. DUNE...who knows. They've had a good two years to work on it, so that could be it, and it'd kick off their event center with quite a bang. At least with old time gamers. Of course, with a new TI3 coat of paint, that would be something that their core audience would really dig into. Presumably they'll have copies available for play.

It ain't GEARS OF WAR, I don't think we're going to see that until GoW3 is at least shown. Likewise with RESIDENT EVIL, there's not a cross-marketing opportunity...if they still have the license, I've heard conflicting information about that regarding Capcom's willingness to license an RE board game at all. But I have other information that FFG has it and has been developing one. In fact, I know of a prototype that FFG solicited from a designer specifcally as an RE game but it was declined in early playtesting.

REINS OF POWER...yeah, right. That's the DUKE NUKEM FOREVER of board gaming at this point.

Another possibility, and the one that I'd most hope for, is that it's something completely new that we weren't expecting like ANDROID.

Or...maybe it's not a board game at all.

The designer? Singular? Then it's probably not Dune or Dungeonquest. My guess is Corey K.'s LOL CATS The Adventure Game.

Hmm...could be a new Kevin Wilson design, we haven't really heard from him since ANDROID.

Unless they're bringing Peter Olotka in and just calling him the designer in that message...he likes to play COSMIC with people plenty, I could see him popping up to play DUNE (TWIDUNE IMPERIDUNE or whatever they're calling it).

I would be stoked for a Middle Earth Quest expansion. Something totally new would be great too.

Did you play the FFG one or the original? Who are they saying is the designer then? Or do they mean the "redeveloper"?

The other two mystery boxes were both complete games and not expansions. I'd bet good money that the last one is a complete game too.

There's also the Song of Fire and Ice adventure game and the Borderlands remake. I also saw some rumors of a Conan tactical miniatures game. But given that the first two boxes - Runewars and Horus Heresy - were both something that nobody had heard was coming, I'm banking on the same with the third mystery box. It'll be something nobody was expecting and it won't be an expansion. We've had plenty of expansion reveals in the meantime.

I reckon it'll be their latest rejig of an old GW game.

My money's on Blood Royale.
