New version of Survive! coming...

Very cool news, especially as I was just thinking about building my own homemade version...

This is GREAT news! I hope they use the original Survive! rules and point values and upgraded components from Escape and maybe mix in a new rule or two to allow even more bloodletting strategy goodness.

I agree. It sounds like they're going to have the options of playing different ways, so presumably the point values will be there. The original designer is working with them, so hopefully that might mean some new wrinkles.

This could be the reprint of the year, I love that they're being respectful of ALL versions of the game and letting the original designer work with them. Stronghold might be a firm to watch...

Keep in mind that half of Stronghold Games used to be a third of Valley Games.

Just read the fine print on the shipping and returns page:
Shipping from our store is currently limited to the USA, Canada, and Mexico.

I'm so used to the internet age now and getting my games from all over the world that I didn't even check this beforehand.

I assume it will eventually show up in the euro-distribution channel but I can trans-ship if need be. Depending on the exchange rate, it might end up about the same.

Thanx Dogmatix. I was interested in the preorder because of the bonus material only available with the preorder, but I think I might wait now until it reaches the normal distribution channels. I've been getting a lot of new games just recently, so I'm just being greedy.

I am a huge fan of the original Survive!

I will not be buying this version due to the choices of the pieces. The whale looks like a wooden Fudgie the Whale. The pieces have been Eurofied, and just completely turn me off.

I will keep playing my 1982 MB version thank you very much.
