None of us have televisions, that would be beneath us.

Huh. Well, it's only a matter of time before Mansions of Madness gets mentioned I guess.

Cool,

Even though I'm a huge animation nerd and love real animation like you would see in the golden era, not the shit that South Park produces... which is truly some of the worst animation I've ever seen, and even though it took me years to admit it (or maybe it wasn't as good in the early years) I actually really like the show.

Simpsons obviously has better writing but they hire top guys from the best schools and there is very little consistency from show to show to season and in South Park, over the years I've come to feel like I know the creators and I can't help but think they seem like ok guys, because they stay so involved in the process.

sooo... this makes me happy and I'm trying way to hard to defend feeling that way. It's a good thing for the hobby and, obviously, FFG.

Plus Arkham is a way cooler reference then Settlers, which you'd figure would be the go to game.

I didn't see the episodes though.

I was playing xbox.

A friend of mine hung out a bit with Trey Parker a last summer, and learned that he's a pretty big game nerd. He's up on the latest stuff and has a regular (I think weekly) D&D/gaming group. Maybe the gag was his, or maybe there are other game nerds among the South park writing staff.

South Park gets literally millions of viewers per episode. If even a small percentage of them decide to Google for "Arkham Horror" - hmm!

Does the board even say Arkham Horror on it? Can you easily read it while watching the show?

The board doesn't but the boxes do:

That's not the whole screen, but it should be clear enough to anyone watching. I guess whether they notice or even process it is another story.

It always happens when someone posts a link to something over there. Folks who may not regularly read the site anymore go over there and then find another somethingorother to post. This phenomenon is why I didn't link to the forum post where someone with a very shaky grasp of probability was trying to come up with a solution to remove dice from the Conflict of Heroes system [though I did post it to the ACTS journal of one of my PBEM groups for the laugh]. ;)

I actually don't have 'TV' anymore. We cut the cable a year ago.

Maybe we will Hulu it tonight.

Is this one of those Russian Doll situations where your giving us a link in a link in a link?
