I love it. MMP sits on it and waffles for like 15 years, then drops the license earlier this year. Later in the year someone picks it up and immediately plans a full reprint for 2013.

Is it Valley so it's a bit flaky? Yeah, but still...

Huh...wonder if ol' Curt Schilling is selling off assets to cover the 38 Studios debacle...

Valley Games release mostly kind of suck, but I'll take it for a card game. News is good enough. SOld!

Yup, this is on our front page too, Torben at Valley forwarded me the news just a little bit ago.

They dropped the rights early this year, the news hadn't come down the pipe about Schilling losing his ass.

whats wrong with Valley? their versions of Titan, Republic of Rome and Hannibal RvC seem reasonable enough. I can see some issues with the graphic design but generally i think they do a good enough job.

Same here. I think Valley Games is putting out very high quality designs. They have issues with quality control, but that is usually bettered by experience.

My Valley edition of Hannibal is fantastic.

From what I understand, it, along with ASL, was/is never his to sell. MMP pays a licensing fee for ASL, and was trying to obtain the *rights* to publish Up Front. If they had obtained them, they would have printed them, not sold them off.

Valley does have a decent track record with obtaining IP - witness Hannibal and Titan, games thought were out of reach.

Ah, I see...facts are screwed up. Well, you know, it's been so long since I've really thought about all this. Like, 10 years or so...back when Up Front 2000 was two years late.

Remember the CCG talk? Wow.

Hey, at least it's not an LCG, amirite?

I'm glad I already own the game as there's no way that I would contribute to a Kickstarter project even if it was for a donkey that shat nuggets of gold.

For others though, I hope they'll include the Banzai expansion at one of the supporter levels.

The guy that did the redesign is invited to collaborate. Is that a good sign or smoke and mirrors? How legit is that comment about 300k debt? Seems like an awful lot of money for a small board game business, then again I don't know much about it.
