Bugs: Recent Topics Paging, Uploading Images & Preview (11 Dec 2020)
Recent Topics paging, uploading images and preview bugs require a patch which has not yet been released.
Airborne In Your Pocket Kickstarter ending soon.
It has been a successful campaign we must admit and would like to thank all the supporters who have helped us reach our goal. However, many of the supporters are really hoping to get the lovely "One Box to Hold Them All" and we are still just under $30k away from that goal.
Come take a look at the campaign site ( www.kickstarter.com/projects/1325766284/...ur-pocket-board-game ) and watch the movie for this great little game.
Currently, if you pledge $70 you get over $120 in game product (take a look at the objectives achieved so far below)! And that's not including the future stretch rewards if we reach them.
And look at that limited edition Richard Winters sculpt you'll get. How can you resist?
Let's get the "One Box to Hold Them All"!

Valley does already advertise here, don't they? Also, it's not vaporware. AIYP has been available in the BGG files section for a couple of years. I ran Artscow sets 2 years ago and have played the fuck out of the game. It's a good one.
But, if Valley *doesn't* already advertise here, fuck 'em...

Then let me say, Airborne in Your Pocket is a heck of a good solo game. I've played with my Artscow-produced set for quite a while and got a lot of fun out of it. It's had a *lot* of designer support over the last couple of years and has consistently produced a good time on my table.
I'm backing this one for the $150 "Line for Life" level because there's little question in my mind that it will pay for itself over the long haul. (This level gets you 1 copy of everything produced in the product line. The history here leads me to believe that there will be *lots* of little expansions over time and piles of $10+shipping expansions add up). I didn't back D-Day Dice as I'm not a big fan of "dicenspiels" (yea, whatever the word is) but I've had a change of heart since playing it and am now regretting not backing that one for the same "lifetime" set-up now that there's going to be a way to link the 2 games.
But, even if you don't go big with the "get one of everything forever", the $70 set-up gets a *lot* of game. I bought the D-Day Dice kickstarter package for that same level off a local gamer who needed quick cash and, I have to say, there's an amazing ton of stuff in there that expands and enhances the game. Looks to be the same kind of deal with the AIYP kickstarter.

So, go with the $70 option (which is about what it cost me to produce a full set through Artscow and I still had to cut a ton of "outdoor space" squares down to size). That's barely even 8 jars of Games Workshop paint *shrug*. I'm hedging against 18-24 months worth of releases to follow. Now, that is predicated on Valley Games surviving for 2 years, which may or may not be a good bet, but I'm suspecting this works out to be absolutely no worse than a break-even for a game I've already played and like quite a bit.
