IGS poll - what next?

I would preorder 4 and 11 today if you put them up. 2, 5, and 7 I would preorder if any of the initial information looked good. Most of the others, I would want to know what differentiates those games from game currently on the market

My goodness, Adam, I hope you have an idea of the game already, because it could go anywhere.

as it is an IGS game, that means it's already been designed and released in another country. probably japan. i think.

I guess you're right.

Another great idea would be a game about the battle of the Atlantic, with operations and tech trees: the development of torpedoes, wolfpack tactics, closing the ATlantic gap, convoys tactics etc.

Oh well, don't get me started

I'd vote 3 and 8.

I really like Successors but it's too complex for most of my friends and the history doesn't interest me much. Rome, on the other hand does. The world needs more simple multi-player wargames. Which reminds me, how is What Price Glory coming on?

As for 8, there simply aren't enough games about Korea. It's a hugely under-popular topic for wargames.

2.) Airplane design game.
Absolute must buy

10.)The Battle of Las Navas de Tolosa
Great topic.

4.) An American Tragedy.
Maybe. Depends on the capacity of the system to bring something new.

#4 - If it can provide a better end game than a session of "A House Divided" that goes into '64 and '65.

Adam posted a new list on CSW and BGG. One of them was a space empires wargame, which sounds pretty cool to me.

And if anyone then follows up by telling me that some guy from decision games is making a similar game so I should look at that, fuck that. IGS has earned just a *tad* more respect from me re: game design than Decision games has!

Maybe a stupid question since "wargame" often implies two-player. Is it two player?

The decision games one is meant to be solo--he has compared it to a Roman Empire game where you're the Roman empire trying to manage your downfall from many threats.

I don't know what Adam's game is going to be like, but am far, far more excited about that. And would love to hear about it when/if you get materials together.

Can I volunteer to playtest the Airplane design game with my group? I'd love to see that one.

I'd love to hear more about that one too! Is it already designed in Japan or something?

I don't think there is a BGG entry for the Airplane game but this is the Sci-Fi game:

www.boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/8769

I have the prototype map for the MMP version but don't think I can upload it here. If there is a way to post an image, let me know. Looks sorta cool.

This sounds great and something I'd consider pre-ordering. I'd definitely like to see the prototype map too. I usually use photobucket for images then link here.
