World Cup Card Game now 2 quid....

In cleaning out my inbox, I came across a recent email from Games for the World saying that they were clearing out stock and closing down their website within the next month or so. (He had hoped to reprint WCG for the 2014 Cup in Brazil, but it sounds like the upfront $$ was too much to bear. Shame, though this strikes me as a perfect candidate for some sort of UK- or Euro-Kickstarter service.)

Anyway, as part of this process, GftW is blowing out the World Cup Card Game 2010 for GBP1.95. Shipping to the US is cheap for this item, too.

Also, if you had any interest in the full World Cup Game [favorably reviewed around here by Barnes a while back, IIRC], they still have copies of expansions 4, 5, & 6 along with misc. parts from the base game and expansions.

Does the card game play well with 2-4? I was under the impression it was only good with large numbers.

I picked it up because it can play with 2 as I can't get a sufficient group together for the full WC game that often. I don't actually know how it plays with more, though I suspect the Group Stage probably moves much faster. Otherwise, it does work with a "normal-sized" group of folks.

2 players isn't the best, but I think it's fun with any number of people.
