Games to buy in London and Paris?

My mom is going to London and Paris in a couple weeks and being awesome, she asked if there was anything I wanted her to pick up for me. Besides some other stuff, I got to thinking that maybe there might be some games she can get a lot cheaper there. But I have no idea what that might be.

Any suggestions?

I put this in Eurogames since it would be literally games from Europe and there is no category I think fits it anyway, but I'd be more interested in GW or maybe Rackham stuff that you can't really get here or is way expensive but totally awesome. I'm into whatever is awesome though, so suggest away.

I'm not sure this French game is out yet but it sounds interesting (to me).

That does look kinda interesting.

But it reminds me that I should add that I don't speak French so I might just be limited to games where you balance stacks of cute wooden prostitutes or try to buy a monkey a beret.

quite a few great games have been published in French wargames magazine Vae Victis . Many of them have been translated into English after a while ( check on TOS ). Added advantage is that it doesn't count so heavily against baggage limits and is often available from newspaper kiosks.

Rackham might be a bit cheaper in France than elsewhere, but the best chance is that shops are getting rid of their stocks (which landed me some nice figs and the role playing town boards).

Editions Descartes has done French editions of Hannibal, Arkham Horror and a number of original wargames,

And if you're lucky, you might run in to something by Azure Wish .

If you like train games, then anything published by Tresham Games/Hartland Trefoil would be good. They publish 18xx series games like 1825, 1853, 1829, etc. Good stuff and a serious PITA to get in the US.

Games cheaper in the UK than the US [insert WTF smiley] - what have you been sniffing ?
All I can suggest is older GW games that you would pick up on eBay if it wasn't for the shipping cost back to your homeland.
But check out these two online shops to get a general idea of how much more we pay for games, and why we go absolutely berzerk when an actual good deal shows up (and quickly sells out) ... www.gameslore.com www.leisuregames.com

If you're interested in wargames, Hexasim is probably the most recent & interesting french publisher... But there's no need to buy in France, they ship to the USA at the same rate. www.hexasim.com

Thanks for the suggestions. I think right now all I'm asking her to grab is Risk Express if she sees it.

I dunno why I imagined a land of cheap copies of Space Hulk and weido French stuff, but I guess not.
