My brother who is an avid comic book collector occassional gives me copies of "the Knights of the Dinner Table" which I find to be very funny.

I have only read a few issues but the character of Weird Pete has strange parallels to Michael Barnes.

Weird Pete runs a game store called the GAMES PIT
Michael Barnes ran a game store called Atlanta Games Factory

Weird Pete co designed a role playing game called Lynch Mob
Michael Barnes has a strange affection for spaghetti westerns that include Lynch Mobs

Weird Pete loves to relate the story how he was burned by his partners
Michael Barnes recently related how he was burned by his partners in the epic, "There Will Be Games"

Weird Pete is always available for advise but is oddly bitter about his hobby
Michael Barnes is always avaiable for advice but is oddly bitter about being banned from TOS

Weird Pete has many friends in gaming enterprises
Michael Barnes has friends at Fantasy Flight

Weird Pete co founded Black hand Gaming Society
Michael Barnes co founded his Atlanta gaming group

Reasons Weird Pete is not Barnes.

Weird Pete tucks his shirt in.

Weird Pete has lost a little weight lately, thanks for noticing.

Weird Pete has never been banned. The game group just hasn't been getting together the past 16 months.

Wierd Pete knows your optimal move - next turn. But he won't say a word; he'll just grin without showing his teeth and nod knowingly at the other players.

Weird Pete has some great stories from the Gathering. Oh, haven't you been? Hmmm.

Essen, did Weird Pete mention Essen?

Weird Pete gets paid NOT to post at various gaming sites. It buys his Cheetos.

Weird Pete's internet business is still open, in 12 states and Thailand.

Weird Pete doesn't even own a chicken hat.

Just to stir up the mystery..."Weird Pete" looks JUST LIKE Steve Avery. Coincidence?

True, but that's what Avery looks like when he's "dressed for court".
