Crokinole's been on my list forever but I swear I'm going to drive to Canada to get one. Stupid expensive down in the States, and even Mayday is raising their prices.
C'mon people, GMT games. I need some solid recs.

I likely spoke out of turn. 1775 is definitely the better option if playing with casual folks as the sides are likely more balanced and playing any of the four factions is definitely more straight forward. Get 1775 as it'll get played ... a lot. If you want more get 1812.
For GMT how about:
Ivanhoe
Battleline
Wellington
Conquest of Paradise
Successors
People seem to like that combat commander and if I recall don't you play one of the command and colours games? Maybe an expansion?

I have it but it doesn't get played. A shame, as I like it better than the other C&C games. My one boy will play it with me occasionally.
Successors will never get played, but I get I'd like it. Conquest of Paradise I've looked at.

Jeff White wrote: Risk 2210: Every time I play it I feel like it puts all other big multiplayer DoaMs to shame. Easy to explain and play, a fun theme, and plenty of strategy. Just about the perfect DoaM. There's another copy in one of my groups so that's why there isn't one on my shelf. However, I think this'll go over well with my 'casual players' group so may get my own.
For me, this is the forever-shelf version of Risk. It's just about perfect.

Sub in Fire in the Lake instead of hex and counter (that's a GMT title...) and I'm good to go.

Also, maybe, consider Iron and Oak. Very simple game on civil war naval combat. Has a neat and easy playing campaign system as well. I also think the player count on it goes fairly high. There's an expansion included in gmts house magazine (c3i?) that provides land borders to the playing area. I understand it's worth getting.
Knowing you like, and more importantly get opportunities to play, wings of glory, I think you should give Iron and Oak a look.

I bought I&O as well as Nightfighter during the 50% off sale last year...I've been in such a two player gaming rut though that neither have seen table time.

Clash of Cultures expansion
Iffy:
Korea OCS if I like Reluctant Enemies?
Stonewall Jackson's Way II?
Space Cadets Away Missions?
Horned Rat if it's on FFG's big sale?
Also, if you guys want Conquest of Paradise I'd be glad to send you my copy, no charge. It doesn't get much love at my house, but not because it lacks quality. PM me.
