Bugs: Recent Topics Paging, Uploading Images & Preview (11 Dec 2020)
Recent Topics paging, uploading images and preview bugs require a patch which has not yet been released.
FFG Holiday Sale is on
Some highlights include Gears of War, Nexus Ops, Planet Steam, and Fortress America.
EDIT: The store seems to be having issues. The link might not work.

The only thing I see of interest is Kingdoms. An awesome game. I've got the older silverline version that's starting to get ragged. I wouldn't mind upgrading to this new one...I'll have to see if a local buddy is ordering and I can throw in a copy.

Arcana I think is a fairly good game, especially at $10.
I'm surprised to see Blue Max on there already ($20)...Repo claims it is really good and is tempting.
Gears of War for $30 is fantastic. Great price on a great game...Indicates that hopes for future support is unlikely.
Tannhauser I think is a bit underrated and these prices you can't beat. If I didn't already stock up two sales ago...
Has anyone read the novels? $3 each isn't bad, provided they are good.

Since the conversation went to steampunk as a setting and culture...I think the answer is: No. No one here has played it.

EDIT:
Q: In which year will the sale begin with "Everyone that orders will get a free copy of Ventura!"?

They posted damaged copies for $20.

But when it comes down to it, Planet Steam is the only one that warrants a purchase since I already own the AH Nexus Ops (but I want the new cards in the ffg version), and have the portable AEG version of Arcana (but again, want the new cards).
Never played Planet Steam, but have heard good things from a lot of sources. Odd how this one didn't do better for FFG.
Really weird to see LotR confrontation on there. I figured the reprint was going to be fairly hot as it is one of Knizias best games, at least as far as thematic implementation to solid rules.

Confrontation is awesome but I don't think Knizia's name on a box carries much weight with consumers anymore.Colorcrayons wrote: Really weird to see LotR confrontation on there. The better question is how do you do nexus ops right? Because both times it's been published it's hit bargain bins.Sagrilarus wrote: A question that deserves a thread all its own -- how do you fuck up Nexus Ops?
