I've always said if i could have one look at a DQ expansion I may get on board. Still not sure why one never materialized if it was such a hot seller. With the cross title material I'd have thought they would have done somehing with/for Descent 2. Why haven't any of the Descent 2 expansions included character cards for DQ? Or, if they wanted a DQ expansion to sell, why haven't they made one that included components to use the characters in Descent 2?
I always wonder why this sort of stuff isn't further realized.
Agreed. They fiddled with it a bit by making people buy DQ if they wanted those characters in other games, but they missed the mark.
Instead, they need to make a "Terrinoth" expansion. One that is an excuse to sell some sexy plastic, but has a use across all those games within that IP. A half dozen characters, with cards or whatever relevant paper props are necessary to be able to use those 6 models in Descent, Runebound, Runewars, Dungeonquest.
It is a single SKU, so that is attractive to both publishers and shops. The price needs to be reasonable however, as not everyone plays all of those games, but is sort of a chance to promote those other games to people who do not play them as a lure.
If it's a nickel over $30, they can go shove it up their asses.
As for my missed opportunity, Monsters menace america needed an expansion to fix the end game if nothing else, as did the AH version of Cosmic which I quite like despite the lack of powers and flares. I really wish FFG would do something with Monsters menace america. It's the one game I can think of which would absolutely benefit from their intercession.
