For anyone who has not watched an episode, Battlestar Galactica has episodes available on NBC.com right now.
Anything I meed to know before I start? I know very little about BSG, and the character profiles confused me a bit.

Just watch that amazing four-hour openener and you'll be hooked. Back in February I thought, "I'll just have a little taste." Next thing I know I'm buying everything I can.

Never seen this series either ... preordered the game though

Every episode is also available at the iTunes store (some are even in HD). Apple and NBC just recently agreed to end their strange pissing match, and a whole slew of NBC content was added on Tuesday.

I watched the first two seasons. Personally I think it's a little overrated. But then I like Joss Whedon shows, so obviously I have no taste.

A summary:
Mini Series: awesome, this show is going to rock.
Season one: pretty damn good.
Season two: Getting better, with flashes of awesomeness.
Season three: Umm, we are starting to enter cluster fuck territory here. Hope the writers know what they are doing.
Razor (movie length episode): Well that was a waste of time.
Season Four: What the hell is this shit?

Totally off-base on Razor, which was very entertaining. The rest is reasonably close, although I'd argue that not enough bad things were said about Season 3. Truly awful.

Never watched the series.
For me Commander Adama will always be the Alpo guy but it will stay in the back recesses of my mind from my youth as I don't want to watch the series now and realize just how bad it was.

Razors problem was we already new all of that stuff happened. The whole episode was just check listing the claims made in the Pegasus episodes.
