I came up riding with messengers and bike kids in NYC and Philly so I'm pretty sure I ride like a dick towards cars. I'm always super nice to pedestrians but fuck cars. Motherfuckers are out to kill me and have no respect. Years on the Vespas have also helped cement this attitude.
I've had friends get fucking bumped from behind at stop lights! (plus sad stories of dudes getting killed and all that regular sort of dickery). I don't give a fuck if it makes you uncomfortable to have me close to your car or that I'm slowing you down too much if I take a lane, you can eat a big bag of dicks.
I just started riding again regularly and it still amazes me how fucked some drivers can be. That said, lots of regular city drivers are totally comfortable with bikes zipping around them and it's no big.
Also, Critical Mass is always a lot of fun. Here it's pretty laid back and supported by the cops but I've been to others where it's practically a riot. But you know what? Fuck cars.
