That's what I'm thinking, VonTush, but that's a damned long way. I really want to get my DDP Yoga certification so maybe I switch off running and focus on that for a while.

This is a very interesting topic to me, and I was discussing it with a friend of mine a couple of months ago.
I had read an article that said that people have friends like layers of an onion: x amount are close friends, y amount are friends, z amount are acquaintances, etc. The thing is, your relationships may change over the years (don't keep in touch with one person, meet new good friends), but the *numbers* don't change. If you're the kind of person who has 8 close friends but only 3 acquaintances, those numbers will stay the same even as the members of those groups change. And of course, everybody has different numbers.
Anyway, I was talking with my friend about whether that's true for hobbies as well. Sometimes they just ebb and flow. There were times when I was really into one thing or another, that now I hardly think about. My enjoyment hasn't diminished, but my involvement has.
Former Hobbies:
Pinball-- The first one that came to mind. I used to buy and repair (and of course play!) pinball machines. Love them. Still do. I used to own 6 or 8 at any given time. Now, just two, and they're both in storage. I just don't have the room. I do miss it, though.
Comic Books-- Not only did I enjoy reading them, I actually wrote a small indie book for a while. Now I have almost zero interest in reading anything, and I just don't feel creative enough to write again.
Hmm. I thought I had a couple more when I started writing this, but I can't recall now.
Current Hobbies:
Running-- This one has actually been a part of my life off and on for a number of years, but I got more serious at the beginning of this year when I ran my first half-marathon.
Reading-- Another one that has ebbed and flowed all my life, but always been a part of it. I'm much more into non-fiction lately.
Movies-- I've always loved movies. Netflix was a huge boon to viewing great movies, but sadly Netflix Streaming has ruined that by taking over our evenings watching TV series. Boo! Although, I'm currently enjoying going through Twin Peaks again.
Gaming-- Of course. I can honestly say I've been playing games all of my life. I'm actually thankful that I had so much fewer choices when I was growing up, or I might not have explored much else. I am getting to the point of information overload, though, so I can sympathize with needing to pull back a bit.
