Might as well get this rolling. I'm going to sell all of my excess games this year. Expect to see a list from me before spring.

EDIT: I'm going to try to contribute to this site more too.

Yeah, I'll bite.

I want to attend a couple get togethers this year, hopefully mini cons, with some of my airline miles. If all else fails I'll go to BGG.con in Dallas. Would have hit Trashfest this year but my dad had to go and have brain surgery...

Gary Sax should resolve to come to ConnCon in March so I can pay him back his $30 in the form of beer.

My resolutions? To not tow a single car ever Ever EVER again.

Same as last year:

My resolution is to not make any resolutions about games. I'm just gonna play 'em. Maybe too much, maybe not enough. Nothing in particular, just whatever seems fun at the time. Not buying many isn't a resolution, it's a lifestyle choice.

No more buying Ameritrash, except for expansions. Planning to buy 3 light euro/family games. I've had enough AT games. Netrunner & Arkham Horror are tempting, but no. Enough is enough. I've got tactical games, conquest games, adventure games, those are enough.

Hmm, I've been pretty interested in these threads the past couple years, but I'm not sure I'm feeling it right now. My collection has been settling down. I still do a good bit of trading, mostly to try out titles I don't otherwise have access to. There's some fat I could trim but I'm not even feeling the need to do that at the moment. I've been more into picking up expansions for games I like than new games.

-I guess a resolution I can make right now is paint some dang minis. I only painted a few dozen this year. I've felt very good about modeling, I've put together several hundred minis, but painting just isn't clicking still.

-Pick up a copy of the BGG card game for Secret Satan 2015

-Get those Buffy and Xena CCGs to the table

-read some more Appendix N stuff

I did great last year with what I chose (and promptly forgot all together) so I'll stick with that. Sell some games and buy less than I sell.

But it's not really a resolution it's just how I've felt lately... I like writing them down here because there's a good chance I'll see it again a year from now.

Aren't most resolutions related to lifestyle choice? Stick to a diet, go to the gym, etc.

My resolution is two fold - Get better at financing my new purchases with sales or trades of old games. And fine tune my collection down into the styles of games that I want and drastically reducing the games outside of that preferred style (which ties into the selling/trading of part one and baring that just giving away).

Last year I resolved to not spend new money on games; only buy things with money gained from selling shelf toads. I tracked my progress here:

Iron Cheapskate 2014

So far I am on track to succeed.

For 2015, and hopefully going forward, I am not spending money on something unless it is at least two years old. So I will buy games released in 2013 and earlier, etc.

This will have the obvious effect of eliminating Kickstarters, but also make sure I don't get caught up in cult-of-the-new (I have a weakness regarding the hype train).

My resolution will be to play with ten different players from F:At on Vassal this year. I'll need help guys! But I'll keep banging on the Vassal Singles Bar thread to see if I can scare up some opponents. Starting Thursday I'll have one already, since I'm halfway through a game with ThirstyMan.

I swore I wrote one on the 2014 thread, but I guess not.

No resolution, probably just staying the couse I set a couple years ago of buying expansions.

And hosting a TrashFest.

1. Get my prototype finished and begin playtesting
2. Continue to only get a few games a year at Xmas and my birthday to avoid clunkers
3. Get rid of the few completely unplayed games that I don't even want to waste time on because I'd much rather play the great games I have. (looking at you Vegas Showdown ordered in 2006)
4. Sell friggin Starcraft! (or... maybe play it again?)
5. Organize at least 3 TI3 games and 1 Risk Legacy session
6. Get more gaming into my routine
