Whoa. The Death Star, that is a big one.

Notahandle- NICE. But is the Orgasmatron really a "weapon"?

And how about Travis Bickle's spring-loaded rail holster?

That's not a weapon. It's a stylish-yet-practical accessory.

Agreed. Crappy list. You need to come to a place like F:At for the definitive list.

Ironcates, you highlighted the Lightsaber which was on the original list and it is indeed a fine weapon, but how can any serious list not include the fricking Death Star. I mean, what other weapon do you need when you have that bad boy in your arsenal.

The ability to destroy a planet is insignificant next to the power of the force.

I know it was on the original list I was just giving it some extra face time. :)

Given the passage of time I could be wrong, but I believe it was designed to kill Barbarella.

It's not the Orgasmatron, it is called the "excessive machine". It was designed to kill Barbarella, but she burnt it out.

I think I'd classify the Death Star as a vehicle more than a weapon. It is a space station. IT can propel itself while people ride in it. You wouldn't call a Star Destroyer a weapon would you?

I'm all open for a thread on best vehicles found in movies. Or a separate thread of best space ships.

Throwing a curve ball, huh? Now I'm wondering where the hell Orgasmatron came from?

Thanks, I'm glad I remembered that correctly!

Same here.

And let's not forget Choda Boy's cock rockets in Orgazmo.

That was in Sleeper, a Woody Allen film.

Hey, that wouldn't be that cruel a weapon, would it?

Many Western world tourists indeed fly to Thailand to die the same way.

Er, Schweig!, the thread title says "cool", not "cruel". Are the translator microbes playing up again?
EDIT- And what's with the "I'm not a"? I'm Nota... dammit!!!

No, but the Death Star is like a super mobile weapons platform so I think it could qualify due to it's uniqueness. You can't classify it as a vehicle because everything is built around or housing the main weapon, right? It not something that was glued on as an afterthought or modular. As far as its mobility, I was never clear on that. I imagine it would have to be towed by tugs. I agree that it's definately not in the realm of a "personal" weapon. Now I hope lightning doesn't strike me dead for talking about Star Wars on the internet. Ugh, fucking Star Wars.

The force as a weapon..... now that's pretty cool. Like when Darth Vader strangled guys from 10 feet away. That should be on the list.

Ah well, the converging lasers that were mounted on the Death Star then. I don't think they had their own name, so we'll just have to call them the Death Star Lasers.
