I believe there was a short sword inside of it.

I watched Krull not too long ago but mention of the Sword and the Sorcerer got me interested in seeing that again. I haven't seen it since the forty pound VCR days. I put that on our Q and was looking for other trashy fantasy movies from that period and didn't have much luck. I was hoping there was something good I missed.

This one I found sounded alright, it's called Conquest. Anybody see this?

Acclaimed horror director Lucio Fulci infuses the sword-and-sorcery genre with gory decapitations, pus-squirting lesions and flesh-eating zombies in this uneven fantasy. The hero of the piece is young Ilias (Andrea Occhipinti), who, along with his bolo-swinging friend Maxz (Jorge Rivero), battles monsters, mutant tribes, and an evil queen (Sabrina Siani) on his journey to manhood. As the evil Ocron, the topless Siani wears a gold mask and bikini bottoms while writhing around on a fur rug covered with live snakes. Siani rules over a risible tribe of people in dog masks who blow narcotics up each others' noses through a straw, and conjures up wolf-warriors from her dreams to shoot poisonous straws at her enemies. The American version is missing much of the gore, but is still far too explicit for the young audiences at whom it is apparently aimed. Terrible special effects, hazy cinematography and inappropriately modernistic music by Claudio Simonetti do not make the film very enjoyable for adults either. Still, it is well-paced and Occhipinti makes a sympathetic lead, making the film worthwhile, if only for genre completists and Fulci devotees. ~ Robert Firsching, All Movie Guide

Deathstalker 2 is as trashy as it gets, and then some more.

Blockbuster doesn't seem to have it. Maybe it was never put on DVD? Blockbuster has gone to shit - they don't even have a copy of fucking Conan in stock. Prime Suspect 3 has been on our Q since January, we finally just took it off.

The Beastmaster

You can go about your business. That movie just needed to be mentioned in this thread.

NO SIR, I am counting the hidden fourth blade. Looks like you're not among the Elite here.

On CONQUEST...I saw it a long, long time ago on a totally shit VHS bootleg. I don't remember much about it, other than that it was terrible. Fulci's out-of-horror-genre films are generally pretty bad anyway (other than his westerns, which were pretty decent garbage) but CONQUEST was just not good at all. I actually didn't realize that it was a Claudio Simonetti score, he's the main dude in Goblin.

How come nobody's talking about:

IRONMASTER
ATOR, THE FIGHTING EAGLE
BARBARIANS (directed by Ruggero "Cannibal Holocaust" Deodato!)
and...

YOR, THE HUNTER FROM THE FUTURE

I know I've seen Yor but it might as well have been in a parallel universe since I can recall nothing about it. Naturally, I can't find it or any of the others you mentioned. I give up. I guess it's cool, this stuff is best taken in small doses.
