I saw "The Blue Max" the other night and really enjoyed it! It inspired me to drag out and dust off my copy of the game "Wings of War".

The movie centers around WWI german Ace, Lt. Bruno Stachel played by George Peppard of The A-Team fame. The movie is seen from the German point of view and follows Stachel's pursuit of the Blue Max medal which he will get when he shoots down 20 enemy planes.

The aerial photography is stunning! It will inspire you to pull out your "Wings of War" games. I was lukewarm on "Wings of War" but after seeing the movie I will give the game another shot.

Peppard plays his part with extreme attitude and moxy. He is afraid of nothing and intimidated by no one. He saves the ass of the Red Baron and then turns down his offer to fly in his squadron.

Ursula Andress looks incredible in the movie and her scenes will steam up your TV set. I have never seen a movie with such strategic placement of a towel on a woman's body! HA!

The movie is a little long but all in all a great war movie with a surprise ending and great aerial shots to inspire you to hit the gaming table afterwards.

It's on Netflix's Instant Play list.
