Wow, this is pretty cool...it's a DS game based on the FIGHTING FANTASY books. It's based specifically on THE WARLOCK OF FIRETOP MOUNTAIN. Looks like a 1st person adventure game, could be pretty neat-

Could be, or it could be Deathtrap Dungeon on the PSX all over again.

Is it the book simply 'merged' into graphic form.
That would be quite cool if so - those 'ace atourney' games kind of show that their could be a market for it. You'd probably have to do more than 1 book per cartrage though.

Did you know there's a homebrew version of Talisman for the GBA?
www.console-dev.de/hel/docs/PageFeatured...tionProjectsTalisman

Of course GW shat all over the developer so it's no longer available on his website, but the above link points to a working download. There's some other cool stuff on the developer website though, worth checking out if you've got something to play GBA games on.

I tried it on a GBA emulator and broke off a few teeth on the interface. But if you're used to the GBA I guess it might be more appealing.

It's a 1st-person RPG, pretty decent 3D for DS.

It really is kind of too bad they didn't go the PHOENIX WRIGHT path with it, that would have been a great format for it.

Lost all interest.
As a 'setting' TWOFTM really wasn't much chop.

I just don't see the point of FF as a first-person fighter. Frankly, the world wasn't that interesting to begin with.

At least do Citadel of Chaos - that one was way more original.
Warlock was just generic the whole was through - oh look, im in a maze and there is a minotaur! Something is comming out of a coffin - don't tell me it's a VAMPIRE!

I'd rather lay the smackdown on some GAMGEES.
