Ok, this is now a spoiler thread.

I went to see Hancock this evening. I thought is was a good superhero movie. It wasn't a great movie. It wasn't the Citizen Kane of superhero movies but I enjoyed it and was glad I saw it. I thought it was better than Iron Man. It broke from the mold and did a reasonable job of doing so. I even thought the second half was good. It had a certain WTF quality but they carried it off. It also came at a point in the film where I thought they had finished everything interesting they had to say and would end up going down the well worn, boring old path of your average superhero flick. I am expecting the Dark Knight will be a great superhero movie. So this will pale in comparison. I wonder if my low expectations going in to the film didn't help me enjoy it all the more.
