ConnCon 2013

It's that time of year again.

ConnCon is happening March 15th - 17th at the Sheraton Stamford Hotel.

Mark Casiglio one of the nicest dudes in gaming is head of the board gaming portion of the convention. He has put up a list of preliminary events here: List of scheduled stuff for ConnCon

So, the usual questions:

1) Are you going? If so, when? I plan to get there Thursday evening. That way my wife gets two full days in New York City.

2) If you are not going, why do you suck so much?

3) Is there any interest in Here I Stand? If I can get 6 I think it would be super cool. I think Friday after diner would work but I'm as flexible as an old fat man can be.

4) What games are you bringing that you'd like to get played?

5) Can and do you drink like Thirstyman? If so, I don't know that I want to hang around with you. (Quite right, Andy. Quite right)

Haven't any of you heard of Square Space? Or Weebly? There's hosting services that provide you with a professional look and feel at no additional charge.

Yeah sure, I'll bring Star Craft, along with a bunch of other stuff.

Love to go and show you all up for the part timers that you are, but work intervenes and silly weekends (Fridays and Saturdays) to conspire to stopping me (also flying thousands of miles for a weekend is a bit over the top).

However, I will be there in spirit anointing you all with mystery of drunkenness and poor behaviour while you annoy your nearest and dearest, making up pathetic reasons why you are, in fact, blasted out of your mind.

Repoman, try to keep the contents of your stomach in your stomach this time. I will be watching over you all in a creepy, stalker like way and will raise a glass of 100% ethanol and tonic water to your continued bad health.

Just booked my hotel room.

Wanted to compare the rates by booking direct or using Expedia.

Expedia advertised rate $169 per night

Calling direct and mentioning that I was coming for the convention $95 per night.

Pretty hefty difference there.

I plan to be there. Need to figuire out travel / where i will be before i can say more.

Currently coming for Saturday. Might try Fri-Sat or Sat-Sun. Not sure what will happen. What time do people arrive on Friday?

1. Yep. I'll be there. Definitely Friday day through the entirety. May even come Thursday eve if work allows.

3. YES! Definitely interested in Here I Stand! Never played but will read the rules. I also plan on getting a game of Virgin Queen in before so I should be hopefully familiar with some of the mechanics.

I'd totally be into trying Here I Stand! the only reason i wouldn't is if it conflict me the High Frontier game, Octavian, Flim-Flam, Bernie, and myself will probably be playing.
