I am, but I call shotgun. I'm a fairly large mammal so I'm going to fuck that gas mileage up a bit. Even if its just the 2 of us that won't be too much in terms of gas and as you said, there's no plane tickets anywhere near that price. Sounds freakin sweet. I'm willing to do my share of the driving as well.

I don't suppose that there are any F:ATties from, or around, the Montreal area that might want to carpool down to Burlington International for a cheap flight into the ATL?

Better yet- who wants to give me a lift there and back? I promise you baked goods and alcohol.

If there's room, I'd be down. Cheaper than flying and I don't feel like driving that long by myself. If Ska_Baron gets off his ass and wants to go, room could be tight, but I would be willing to work out something with him since it doesn't seem like he lives very far from me.

Okay you fuckers - I am going to talk with the wife about this. Still kinda iffy since a week of my vacation's gonna be sunk into the beach in August already, but hell.

I'm in Fredericksburg, VA which is about an hour no traffic south of DC off 95. Ufe is in Richmond I think which is about an hour no traffic south of me depending on where exactly he is.

And Loter, if it helps your cost estimate, currently the gas in Fredericksburg VA is hovering under $3 and I think finally edging back down.

Would we all just chip in $100 to cover gas/wear-n-tear? Trying to figure out what my expenditures would total for the trip for my pie chart presentation to the wife.

Something like that would be cool.

Gas is tricky just cause the chatter is it might get up to a lot by the summer but who knows. I'm estimating it on $4 so that if there are surprises, they are plesent rather than awww fuck.

So it looks like we have our car of 4 then, pending wife approval of course?

This would be the only part that I really need to hammer out. The beginning of the month is usually busy for me at work so getting time off is kind of tricky. I'd need to know in advance exactly how many days I would have to take off so I can start badgering my boss now.

I could probably just get someone to drop me off at a gas station or something off 95 so you wouldn't have to make the almost hour round trip from 95 to my house then back to 95.
