Ken and I are looking to host a boardgaming event on September 24th. I know it's a little short notice, but if successful, we'll probably do this annually. The event would be held in Fayetteville, TN. Right now, I'm just looking for anyone interested. Depending on how many people want to game will decide on if I rent out a building or not.

Thanks,

Jeremy

I'd love to come. I'm not sure if that coincides with yet another stupid thing I have to do in Chicago (ie. Conference) but if not, count me in. Will let you know ASAP.

I have a few more details. The Best Western Conference room in Fayetteville is open on 9/24 from 10:30am till at least midnight. This will more than likely be the room that is booked.

Don't forget to tell them you're with the company you're with. I know for almost certain that they have discounts on local hotels because the last time I was down that way I told them I was there 'with' that company and they gave me a better deal.

When are you coming to Chicago Superfly TNT? I no longer live there...the commute to the burbs everyday was a bitch but I don't live that far away. Maybe we could get some gaming in? PM Me.

The room has successfully been booked. Instead of starting at 10:30, anyone can arrive before then. When I had originally spoken with the Best Western, they indicated a room wouldn't be open until after breakfast. Upon asking about the other room, they told me, "It's open all day." The event has a five dollar charge to help cover the cost of the room.

Russ Rupe, co-designer of Warlords of Europe, has agreed to come down and demo WoE. WoE looks like a very fun Dudes on a Map game. He has also agreed to give away a copy of WoE to one lucky winner. You can check out the description of his game on ToS.

A.J. Porfirio from Van Ryder games has also expressed interest in attending the event. Van Ryder publishes a game called Organized Chaos. In Organized Chaos you're trying to mill your opponent out of cards. Each card appears to be dual purposed. Van Ryder is also currently working on what he calls a Dying Card Game called If I'm Going Down... It is a zombie game.

Lastly, we will have a flea market from 2 to 3:30. It would be a great chance to do some no shipping trades, sell off your unwanted shelf toads, or find some hidden treasure among another man's trash.

Hope to see you there.

This is shaping up to be pretty hot. I almost wish we'd branded this as a Trashfest offshoot, or something.

We've heard from gamers from Birmingham, AL, to Nashville, TN, and from the designers/publishers, that Jeremy mentioned. If this is successful, we'll start doing something similar every year.

The flea market will be a good chance to offload stuff you don't want, or find someone offering some games on the cheap. I know I'll have a small stash of games that I'll be selling for good prices, and I'll probably re-invest that money right back buying other stuff.

How 'bout you Atlanta guys? Steve Avery, I'm callin' you out. We'd talked about you guys making the trip once; this is the perfect chance.
